Our Focus
Great software is an art. How something works is as important as what it does. As much care and pride of workmanship should go into what the end user cannot see as what they can see. AC focus on the how as much as the what and firmly beleive that more can be done with less. Our solutions do more with less code, storage, and compute resources.
Active ProjectsBasic Enterprise Application Realm The Basic Enterprise Application Realm (BEAR) is a combined application server and framework. BEAR delivers the core platform for hosting web applications as well as the tools needed for application development. Sub ProjectsA no frills enterprise level NAS BEAR NAS is a straightforward NAS for both UNIX NFS shares and Microsoft Windows compatible SMB shares. It provides simple user management with backup and data integrity checking. Simple and scalable domain management BEAR DNS provides a simple and scalable interface to BIND. It is suitable for most small to medium sized organisations. This solution works as primary or secondary nameserver to another instance of BEAR DNS or a third party DNS server. A Fuss-free Small footprint Linux deployment The AC Hosting Environment (ACHE) is a lean, trimmed down, version of a major Linux distribution that has existed since 2011. It is stable and has very long release cycles not more frequent than once per major release of RedHat Enterprise Linux. There are very few, if any, point releases. A small deployment footprint is provided though minimal functionality over bare bones installation. ACHE has found use as a robust web, database, storage appliance, and virtualizaion server. Sub ProjectsA truly enterprise grade text wizard driven Certificate Authority Utilizing openssl, AC X509 Certificate Authority provides administrators with the power to create multiple root and intermediate level certificate authorities with features suitable for enterprise level management of user and system certificates. It should run on any system with openssl and BASH version 3.0 or higher. The absolute easiest automated installations for UNIX and Linux software Make Bash Installer provides the absolute simplest way to package installations for UNIX and Linux systems into a single file. No third party compression tools or archives with multiple files are required. Simply describe your application with a single configuration file; pass it to Make Bash Installer and let it do the rest. File integrity and system tamper monitoring, detection, and handling AC Integrity provides a simple but effective solution to detecting problems with data integrity and system tampering. It runs in the background as a series of simple BASH scripts installed as a service and protects your system based on simple configuration files. Making the power of the Linux Netfilter as simple as possible The Linux Netfilter and its interface, the iptables command are truly powerful. However, configuring the Netfilter on the command line or automating changes is non trivial. With power comes great complexity. AC Firewall bridges the gap between the simpler needs of Linux as a server and the end user or application by making the configuration as simple as possible. Simple configuration files allow system administrators or application alike to easily make changes to Netfilter and establish a robust firewall. |
